Passing Through & Looking for Vintage Ephemera – Comics, Magazines, Photos, Od (Tulare)

I’ll be passing through the area sometime in the next three weeks or so, and I’m looking to relieve you of the paper trail of history you may or may not have been meaning to deal with since the Carter administration.
Specifically, I’m on the hunt for vintage ephemera — and I use that term loosely and enthusiastically. If it was printed, written, mailed, stapled, folded, photographed, or otherwise committed to paper (or film), I’m probably interested.
That includes, but is not limited to:
Comic books
Magazines (the older and weirder, the better)
Books (paperbacks, hardcovers, forgotten classics, forgotten disasters)
Postcards
Posters
35mm slides
Photographs (family, strangers, accidental masterpieces)
Letters, journals, scrapbooks
Old clippings, pamphlets, programs
General paper-based odds and ends that somehow survived the decades
If you’re not sure whether it qualifies, it probably does.
I’m especially interested in larger accumulations / bulk lots, the kind of material that’s been sitting in boxes, closets, garages, or quietly judging you from a shelf. That said, if you’ve got something smaller but interesting, I’m always willing to listen.
Now, in the interest of full disclosure: I am, at heart, a bit of a cheap bastard. But — and this is the part that tends to soften the blow — I deal in cash, I don’t waste time, and I don’t play games. Fair offers, straightforward conversations, and everybody walks away knowing where they stand.
I’m not a dealer looking to cherry-pick one item and vanish — I’m more of a “let’s see the whole pile and figure it out” type. Low pressure, no theatrics.
If you’ve been meaning to sort through that stuff for years but haven’t quite gotten around to it, consider this your sign from the universe… or at least from a guy with a weakness for old paper.
Feel free to reach out with:
A quick description
A few photos (if possible)
And we’ll take it from there.
Thanks in advance — and apologies if this finally forces you to open that box you’ve been successfully ignoring.
